This Privacy Policy describes how BALDURAN Ltda. (referred to hereafter as the "Company", "we," "us," or "our") processes the data of users ("you" or "your") of the BALDURAN Protector software ("Software"). We are committed to protecting your privacy by minimizing data collection at the architectural level.

1. Information We Collect and Process

We process only the essential data necessary for subscription validation and to ensure the proper functioning of the Software. This includes:

Purchase and Entitlement Data (Persistent): We store the anonymous purchase details and digital receipt data provided by the Microsoft Store to validate your active subscription, enforce licensing terms, and comply with statutory tax and auditing requirements. This data contains no personal identifiers (such as name, physical address, or email).
Consent and Agreement Records (Persistent): We store a record of your acceptance of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, including the timestamp and document version. This is required to demonstrate legal compliance and enforce our contractual relationship.
Concurrency Identifiers (Volatile Only): To enforce active device limits associated with your tier, the Software communicates with our licensing servers. During this handshake, network and hardware identifiers (such as an IP address or a temporary device token) are processed strictly in volatile memory (RAM). This data decays automatically when the session lease expires and is never persistently stored or written to our databases.

We explicitly DO NOT collect or store the following:

Your DNS queries, browsing history, or network traffic topography.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name or email address. All billing and identity management is handled securely by Microsoft.
Persistent logs of your IP address or hardware MAC address.

Local Data and Statistics (Not Collected)

To provide you with operational insights, the Software writes traffic and filtering logs (which may include processed queries, blocked URLs, and connection IPs) directly to your device's local storage. This local data is never transmitted to our servers. BALDURAN Ltda. has absolutely no access to your local logs, blocked requests, or statistical history.

2. Third-Party Services

BALDURAN Protector subscriptions are managed securely through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft acts as the Merchant of Record and processes the billing information related to your purchase. We encourage you to review the Microsoft Privacy Statement to understand how they handle your payment data.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Microsoft. This Privacy Policy only covers the anonymous licensing data processed directly by our infrastructure.

Upstream DNS Providers

To resolve website addresses, the Software must forward non-blocked DNS queries to an external upstream DNS provider. By default, the Software is configured to use Google Public DNS (DNS-over-HTTPS). When a query is forwarded, the selected upstream provider receives your request and your IP address. This data is processed exclusively under that provider's privacy policy. You have full control to change the upstream DNS provider to a service of your choice at any time within the Software's settings.

3. Data Retention and Your Rights (GDPR & LGPD)

Because our backend architecture does not persistently store telemetry, IP addresses, or personal identity data, there is no persistent behavioral or tracking data to delete upon request.

The anonymous Microsoft Store Transaction ID and associated entitlement record are retained to fulfill our active contractual obligations to you and to comply with statutory tax, auditing, and legal defense requirements. Under applicable data protection laws (including LGPD Art. 16 and GDPR Art. 17), this specific transactional data is exempt from right-to-erasure mandates, as it is strictly necessary for the execution of the contract and the establishment or defense of legal claims. To exercise any applicable privacy rights, report an issue, or inquire about your transaction status, you must provide your unique Transaction ID, which is accessible within the Software's settings interface.

4. Data Security

We implement strict security measures to protect our licensing infrastructure from unauthorized access, utilizing secure TLS encryption for all client-to-server architectural handshakes.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Software after the Published Date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
